Marco R. Herrera (born about 1955) was a Mormon church member in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a guidance counselor at West High School for 24 years.

He met a 14-year-old student in November 2006 in his counseling capacity.

Between April and June 2007 he had sexual intercourse with her at least three times and committed other sexual acts on seven occasions. He was fired over the allegations. He pleaded guilty to three second-degree felony counts of forcible sexual abuse; seven further felonies, including rape, were dismissed under the plea agreement. He was sentenced to three consecutive terms of one to 15 years at the Utah State Prison, with restitution to the victim.
