FLOODLIT.org is announcing the launch of a new volunteer-driven project to locate, compile and index information about instances of sexual abuse or other sex crimes allegedly perpetrated by leaders or active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS/Mormon Church).
We recently surpassed 4,000 published case reports, and we need help adding information to each one.
We have another 1,000 or more cases under review for publication, and we need help compiling information about each one so our team can evaluate them for inclusion.
So, we’ve created a private research area where volunteers can:
- view source information from court documents, news articles and other sources
- add/edit information related to each case
- discuss each case with other volunteer researchers
There is no minimum time commitment, and you don’t need any special skills or experience.
If you would like to help, please contact us.
FLOODLIT.org offers a free public database of factual information about over 4,000 instances where an LDS church leader or member was accused of sexual abuse or other sex crimes, or of failure to help an abuse survivor upon learning of abuse allegations.
