“BOAZ, AL (WAFF) – An elderly Boaz man is suspected of sexually abusing as many as eight young girls.

72-year-old Jimmy Maurice Kilpatrick is now facing four counts of sex abuse of a child less than twelve, and one count of first-degree sodomy.

Boaz Police said he started sexually abusing the girls as far back as 2008. The victims are now between eight and 15 years old.

Kilpatrick is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The case is still under investigation.”

74-year-old man pleads guilty to sexual abuse of minors

“BOAZ, AL (WAFF) – A Marshall County man pleaded guilty on Monday to charges of sex abuse of a child under the age of 12.

Jimmy Maurice Kilpatrick, 74, was sentenced to serve a ten-year, day-for-day sentence in the state prison system, according to Marshall County authorities.

Prosecutors say Kilpatrick sexually abused four girls under the age of 12.

The incidents took place in Boaz and police the abuse went back as far as 2008 involving the girls who are now between the ages of 9 and 17.

The incidents came to light when a child disclosed the information to a family member.

The investigation of the case began in 2013.”
