Summary

Donald Tolman was a Mormon bishop of the Provo 10th Ward in the 1970s. He began working in that LDS church leadership position in January 1975.
In 2019, Tolman admitted to child sexual abuse of three victims.
According to an Orem, Utah police affidavit obtained by FLOODLIT, Tolman gave officers permission in November 2019 to review his computer, where officers found hundreds of sexually explicit, hardcore child sexual abuse material (CSAM, often referred to as child pornography) photos.
Tolman admitted to sexually touching and taking nude photos of one victim when she was approximately 7 to 9 years old, and to sexually touching two other underage victims when they were under the age of 14.
In 2020, Tolman was convicted of three first degree felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, and of three second degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
Tolman was given the Silver Beaver award by the Boy Scouts of America.
