Gordon Neeley was a Mormon church member and children’s day care center owner with his wife Alice, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They both ran the daycare center from their home for 20 years. In 2012 he was accused of sexually molesting at least 3 girls he was tending. According to a Floodlit source Gordon had keys to a near by chapel believed to be called the LDS Edgehill Ward. Where he would take his victims to abuse them. In addition, Neeley baptized one of his victims at 8 years old because the victims father was considered “unworthy” to baptize her according to mormon doctrine. It has also been reported to Floodlit that the police detectives that worked this case have confirmed that the abuse was also ritualistic in nature and believed to have been multi-generational. Floodlits source also said that it is believed Gordon trafficked victims letting others abuse them. He drove victims places, they remember being drugged, seeing other children brought into groups, children in cages. Gordon allegedly abused babies, toddlers, and older children physically, emotionally and sexually. Gordon was excommunicated from the LDS church, we are told shortly after his arrest. It is unclear if any church leaders knew of his abuse. He plead guilty to 3 counts of attempted aggravated sexual abuse of a child and was convicted on all 3 counts. Neeley appealed his sentence multiple times with no success. Our source reports Gordon stayed in prison until 1 week before his death, where he was moved into a hospice unit at the prison. He died in 2018. Investigators in this case said they believed there were other victims who have not come forward yet.
