Benjamin Evans Turner

Ben Turner was a Mormon church member and LDS Primary teacher in Davis County, Utah.

Turner perpetrated sex crimes in Utah. He was convicted in separate criminal cases in 2007, 2019 and 2023.

According to the person who told Floodlit about Turner’s cases, Turner had over 3,000 CSAM videos on his computer and had also sexually abused at least four young children. One child said that on several occasions, she had awakened in the night to find Turner leaning over her in her bed. She was terrified.

Police found a hidden camera Turner had placed in a bathroom which was connected to a television in his print shop behind his house so that he could watch live.

A relative of Turner discovered CSAM videos on his shop computer. Some were of victims as young as 3 years old. Turner admitted to police that he had downloaded the videos and sexually abused multiple children. He also admitted to going into the children’s rooms and masturbating by their beds as he watched them sleep.

At the time of Turner’s first arrest in 2006, he was a Sunbeams teacher (children approximately age 3-4) in an LDS ward, the person said.

In 2019 and 2022, Turner was arrested for masturbating in public. Both times, he was convicted of lewdness the following year.
