Todd Nef was a Mormon church member who perpetrated sex crimes in Washington. He is currently in prison in Coyote Ridge Corrections Center in Washington.

According to court documents, Nef, 36, went to the Richland Police Department in January 2019 with his wife and LDS church bishop and said he wanted to report a crime.
Nef’s father, Michael Nef, also sexually abused children while active in the Mormon church.

1. Richland man confesses to molesting young girls over 100 times
RICHLAND, Wash. — A Richland man is in jail after confessing to molesting three young girls multiple times.
According to court documents, Todd Michael Nef, 36, went to the Richland Police Department with his wife and church bishop and said he wanted to report a crime.
Nef told the officer he had molested three young girls from November through Christmas of 2018 at his house in Richland.
The alleged victims ages nine, 12 and 13 were interviewed by a forensic child interviewer. During one of those interviews the nine-year-old said the sexual abuse from Nef started happening before she was in fourth grade and happened almost every day.
According to court documents, Nef said he would start massaging the girls to get them to fall asleep. During these massages, he would touch them inappropriately.
Nef admitted to touching the girls inappropriately over 100 times, according to court documents.
One of the alleged victims said in an interview that the touching would happen during scripture.
Nef faces charges of child rape of a child in the first degree, attempted child molestation in the second degree and child molestation in the second degree.
According to court documents, during the interview with the detective assigned to the case Nef said when he was 16 or 17 he molested a little girl.

2. Richland man who confessed to molesting girls gets 20 years to life in prison
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A Richland man who repeatedly molested several young girls was sentenced Tuesday to a minimum of 20 years in prison.
In January, Todd Michael Nef, 36, walked into the Richland police station accompanied by his wife and church bishop and confessed to his crimes.
Some of the victims said Nef would give inappropriate massages. One said Nef abused her for about a year.
According to court documents, Nef said that “girls around 13-years-old are his fantasy.”
The Benton County Clerk’s Office said he pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree rape of a child and three counts of second-degree child molestation. He was sentenced to 240 months to life in prison.
Once released, he will serve a lifetime of community custody and will have to register as a sex offender.

3. Richland man pleads guilty to child rape and other sex crimes
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- Todd Michael Nef, 36, pleaded guilty to first-degree child rape, and other serious sex crimes, in Benton County court on Wednesday.
Nef admitted to the court that he molested girls over the course of an entire year in 2018.
In an agreement with the state, Nef pleaded guilty to the following charges:
1st Degree Rape of a Child
Attempted 2nd Degree Child Molestation
And two counts of 2nd Degree Child MolestationAs a result of the guilty plea, Nef is not allowed bail.
The minimum sentencing for these crimes is 20 years in prison.
His sentencing is scheduled for late May.
Police originally arrested Nef in January after he walked into the Richland Police station and confessed to the serious crimes.
Nef told the officer he had molested three young girls.
