Summary

Martin Gilmour was a mormon church member in Portadown, County Armagh, Northern Ireland who allegedly perpetrated a sex crime. Gilmour was a former LDS bishop, bishopric counselor, high councilman and temple ordinance worker. Gilmour was arrested in November 2024 after he was caught by a coalition of self-appointed online child protection groups going by the names of:

These three coalition groups were contacted for help by the mother of an emotionally vulnerable 13-year old minor, when she discovered that her child was allegedly being preyed upon online by a man in his fifties. The coalition groups compiled documentation, photos, texts and videos Gilmour allegedly sent and confronted Gilmour with it and later submitted as police evidence.
The activists went on Facebook Live and confronted Gilmour with what they said was evidence of his actions, at his home. And stated that they had contacted police and were waiting their arrival.
WARNING: The footage is extremely graphic. Absolutely DO NOT watch with children present.

Facebook user comments state that Martin lived in Dundee for quite a while, where he worked for a telecoms company. They also allege that Martin Gilmour and his twin brother were kicked out of Antrim due to their child predation, and that both men were living with their mother at the Portadown residence located next to a primary school when Martin was arrested. No further information confirming any claims against the brother come forth yet.
The source for this story reports that they served their own LDS mission at the same time as Martin Gilmour. In LDS circles, when Martin and his late wife Stephanie (deceased) made parents and their young children uncomfortable with Gilmour’s obsession with the little ones, it was ignored. When youth complained of Gilmour’s odd, creepy, pedo-like behavior, leaders chastized them for being disrespectful, according to the report.
The source said they were concerned that Martin Gilmour may have returned to Ireland.
