He was charged in August 2021, aged 28, and in October 2022, aged 29, pleaded guilty to four counts of attempted sexual conduct with a minor and two further unrelated counts.

He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

According to the account submitted to FLOODLIT, he lured children to a location where he molested them and then gave them gifts as a reward for staying quiet, and he possessed child sexual abuse material; investigators used a victim’s phone to text him while posing as the child, during which he did not deny the allegations. A statement from a victim’s parents read in court described him as an unrepentant predator. What local church leaders knew is unclear.
