Dick A. Jensen was a Mormon church member and dentist who perpetrated a sex crime in 1970s or 1980s, in McMinnville, OR, in his dental office.
Jensen appears in the BSA “perversion files.” On page 7/9 the following quotes appear:
-“July 11, 1980 pleaded no contest to charge of sexual abuse in the second degree, Judge Curt Rossman, Yamhill Circuit County Court, Oregon.”
-“civil suit paid $15,000 to settle out of court sexual abuse case”
-“he made lewd and lascivious and improper advances to [redacted] and [redacted]”
-“allegedly fondled these women while they were under nitrous oxide in his dental office.”
In approximately 1990, Jensen either attempted to register with the Boy Scouts or was reported to the National Registration of the Boy Scouts. His registration was denied. The scout executive who sent him the denial letter, Douglas Soverign Smith Jr., was himself convicted in 2005 of possession of CSAM.
Jensen’s dental license was revoked or suspended in approximately 1980 or 1981, but he apparently was a practicing dentist again as of 1994-2003, because Floodlit found advertising in Oregon newspapers during that time period.
There are disciplinary records from the Oregon Board of Dentistry regarding accusations of misconduct against Jensen.

McMinnville dentist gets license revoked McMINNVILLE Dr. Dick A. Jensen has until July 31 to close his dental office after permanent revocation of his license by the state Board of Dental Examiners on charges of unprofessional conduct. Jensen allegedly made lewd, lascivious and improper advances toward two female patients, says Cheryl Packard, board administrator. She said Jensen admitted to charges of unprofessional conduct at a board meeting last week.
The dental board investigated the incident for several months and held an extensive hearing in March, said Packard. The decision to revoke. Jensen's license was made late last week. "The board had no alternative but to revoke the license. After all, we're here to protect the public," Packard said.
She called it a precedent-setting decision. "The board will be intolerant of this type of case." Jensen has five years to apply for reinstatement of his license. Reinstatement may be made at the board's discretion. Jensen, 37, faces charges in Yamhill County Circuit Court of second-degree sexual abuse. He is accused of touching a patient while she was under the effects of nitrous oxide.
The incident occurred last August, said District Attorney John Collins. Jensen is scheduled to enter a plea to the charge Monday. A graduate of the University of Oregon Dental School, Jensen has been a licensed dentist since 1974. His attorney, Tom Tankersley, declined to comment on the case.
