    • Jayson Martineau was an LDS church member in Idaho and Tremonton, Utah; accused of sexual abuse; pleaded guilty in December 2023 in Utah and was sent on a one-year rider program
    • James Matlock was a Mormon church member in Washington; pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse
    • Robert Matthews was a Mormon church member and singer in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; arrested in 2006, after police received evidence that he swam naked with four young boys during a trip in July 2006; he allegedly took pictures of the nude swim and later processed the images on his computer; charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and lewdness involving a child; convicted
    • Calvin McGee was an LDS missionary in Virginia in 2022; accused of soliciting sexually explicit pictures and video from a person he believed to be an 11-year-old girl, and inviting her to meet in person; arrested in Boise, Idaho in July 2023 and accused of rape of a minor; pleaded guilty to two charges related to child sexual abuse; sentenced in May 2024 to three to 25 years in prison
    • John Midgett was a Mormon Sunday school teacher in the San Diego area, California; also was a Navy petty officer first class; accused of 43 felony counts of child molestation for allegedly sexually abusing eight girls, ages 5 to 10, in his Sunday school class; pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 years in prison; as of 2024, lives in Bountiful, Utah as a registered sex offender
    • Sergey Millett was a Mormon church member in Utah; pleaded guilty in 2009 to child sexual abuse
    • Thomas Monson was an attorney for the LDS church's law firm, Kirton McConkie; In 1989, Monson paid a $75 fine and was placed on probation after he pleaded guilty to charges of soliciting sex from a prostitute; sued in the 1990s for sexual harassment; reached a settlement with the victim; was a Mormon bishop in Utah in 2008
    • Daniel Montoya was a Mormon church member and scout leader in Long Beach, California; pleaded guilty in 1986 to charges of child sexual abuse
    • Aaron Montoya was a Mormon children's Primary teacher and law enforcement officer in Utah; found guilty in 2005 of sexually abusing children during LDS church meetings and at his home; later pleaded guilty in another case; in all, at least nine victims came forward; sentenced to prison in 2005; as of March 2025, is out of prison on parole and lives in Woods Cross, Utah as a registered sex offender
    • Julio Morais was a Mormon church member in Pawtucket, Rhode Island; pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse
    • Luis Morales Silva was an LDS church member in Lehi, Utah; in 2022, pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree felony sex abuse of a child; sentenced to one to 15 years in prison
    • Shawn Mortensen was a former Mormon bishop and stake presidency member in Albuquerque, New Mexico; in February 2021, admitted to police that he had sexually abused an 11-year-old girl in January 2021; convicted of child sexual abuse; sentenced in 2022 to prison in New Mexico
    • Erick Mosteller was a Mormon church member and former youth leader in Utah; was caught downloading child sexual abuse material (CSAM); admitted to soliciting sex acts from trafficked women at Asian massage parlors; pleaded guilty in March 2023 to two second degree felony charges of child sexual exploitation; sentenced in August 2023 to 250 days in jail, with credit for 79 days served; placed on 4 years probation
    • Steven Murdock was a Mormon stake high council member and former LDS bishop in Holladay, Salt Lake County, Utah; allegedly sexually harassed multiple women in his ward while he was their bishop (he was bishop from 2013 to 2017); in 2019, was caught taking photos of a young woman in a dressing room in Tennessee; pleaded guilty in November 2019; sentenced in 2019 to one year probation, 48 hours community service

    • Grant Packer was an LDS church member in Idaho; served a full-time mission to Canada in 1946-48 and two senior missions to Atlanta, Georgia and San Bernardino, California; charged with child sexual abuse; pleaded guilty; sentenced to three to 10 years in prison and 10 years probation; died in 2008
    • Steven Paris was an LDS church member in Anaheim, California; accused in 1986 of sexual abuse of seven boys; pleaded guilty to abusing six of them; was scheduled to receive a 30-year sentence
    • Jeffery Parks was a Mormon church member in Tennessee; in 2003, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of incest, and two counts of statutory rape; sentenced to prison
    • Keith Peterson was a Mormon church member and former high school teacher in Nampa, Idaho; accused in 1991 of inappropriate sexual contact; sentenced to 180 days suspended jail time and two years of probation; charge was dismissed in 1998 after he completed probation; pleaded guilty in October 2019 to one count of lewd conduct with a child under 16; sentenced in 2020 to 17 years in prison
    • Ronald Phelps was an LDS bishop and stake executive secretary, and attorney, in Oklahoma; arrested for indecent exposure before becoming an LDS bishop; accused of child sexual abuse; Mormon church leaders allegedly covered up the abuse
    • Errol Pilling was a Mormon bishop and licensed psychologist in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; went on an LDS mission to England in the early 1960s; pleaded guilty in 1988 and in 1994 to charges of sexual misconduct; in September 1994, his registration as a chartered psychologist with the Psychologists Association of Alberta was cancelled; in 1994, was excommunicated; as of February 2024, lives in Twin Falls, Idaho
    • Byron Poelman was a bishop and stake president in Utah and partner in a law firm that represented the LDS church; arrested in 1994 for soliciting a prostitute; pleaded guilty to a class B misdemeanor charge of patronizing a prostitute
    • Lloyd Pond was a Mormon church spokesman and leader of an LDS church radio program in Utah; pleaded guilty in 1996 to one count of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse; sentenced in 1997 to prison; died in 2019
    • Mark Porter was a Mormon church member and former stake presidency member in Utah; accused of sexual abuse in 2022 after allegedly groping women in a Logan grocery store; pleaded guilty in December 2022

    • Shane Pugh was a Mormon church member in Cedar Hills, Utah; accused of touching an underage girl while she was sleeping; in 2017, pleaded guilty to forcible sexual abuse (2nd degree felony); sentenced to 1 to 15 years in prison and 3 years probation
    • Noah Rada was a Mormon church member in Salt Lake City, Utah; accused of possession of child sexual abuse material in 2022; pleaded guilty; sentenced to three years in prison and 20 years probation

    • Chad Robertson was an LDS church member and high school assistant basketball coach in Parowan, Utah; accused in 2023 of unlawful sexual activity with a child; admitted to having sex with a 16-year-old boy on five separate occasions; in March 2024, pleaded guilty to two felonies; in June 2024, was sentenced to one year in the Iron County Jail, with credit for time served, and four years of probation
    • Percy Rock was an LDS church member in Greencastle, Pennsylvania; accused of possessing CSAM; pleaded guilty in 2023
    • Michael Rosser was an LDS church member in Indiana; accused in 2023 of child sexual abuse; made a plea agreement in February 2024, agreeing to plead guilty to reduced charges; convicted in 2024 and sentenced to six years in prison with two years probation
    • Lance Rushton was an LDS church member in Provo, Utah; accused of photo shopping faces of family members, ward church members of adults and children on to pornographic material and distributing them; convicted in 2007 and sentenced to three months in jail and three years of probation
    • Tim Ryan was allegedly an LDS church member in Idaho; accused of sexual abuse; pleaded guilty in 2008 to a felony charge of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16; detectives said the victim's family reported the abuse in 1999, but that it was dropped when they wouldn't cooperate with investigators
    • Richard Sampson was a Mormon bishop, stake high council member and doctor in Provo, Utah; was director of medical affairs for the LDS Missionary Training Center; allegedly sexually abused at least seven children; convicted and sentenced in 2014 to one to 15 years in prison for child sexual abuse; as of 2024, was out on parole living in Holladay, Utah
    • Wade Schvaneveldt was an LDS church member and high school girl's basketball coach in or near Grace, Idaho; accused of raping a child numerous times over a period of several years, including at his home while his family was attending LDS church meetings; in April 2023, accepted a plea deal to two felony counts of rape; in June 2023, was sentenced to 8 to 18 years in prison
    • Darran Scott was a Mormon church member and filmmaker in Archies Creek, Victoria, Australia; pleaded guilty in 2017 to 16 charges related to the sexual abuse of 11 boys over a 25-year period; sentenced in 2017 to 10 years in prison
    • Frank Selas was an former childrens TV host/entertainer in California who joined the LDS church in the 1990s; pleaded guilty to one count of indecent behavior with a child; the crime took place in the 1970s
    • Carl Sepos was an LDS temple worker and high priest in Payson, Utah; pleaded guilty in 2015 to sexually abusing an adult woman with Down syndrome and autism at a hotel swimming pool; he blamed his sex crime in part on an addiction to pornography; sentenced to 150 days in jail, 36 months of probation and 100 hours of community service
    • Stewart Singley was an LDS church member in Ohio; convicted in 1975 of child molestation that occurred in 1974; in 1997, convicted and sentenced to one year in jail or prison; as of 2024, is a registered sex offender; lives in East Waterford, Pennsylvania
    • James Sirles was a Mormon church member in Chesterfield, Virginia; convicted of possession of child pornography and production and distribution of child pornography
    • Kent Staheli was an LDS church member in California and Utah; served as first counselor in a Mormon bishopric; convicted in federal court in 2010 of charges related to child sex trafficking

    • Derrick Starley was an LDS church member and full-time missionary in Chubbuck, Idaho; originally from Utah; perpetrated a sex crime while on his Mormon mission in October 2012; convicted in 2013 of felony injury to a child and sentenced to 10 days in jail
